- Arnaud Hug

Arnaud has been a music composer for over fifteen years.
His career begins with his first demo that he produced in his bedroom when he was 15 years old. It was then sent to Sir George Henry Martin (producer of The Beatles) who gave him a special recommandation and encouragement. When he moved to Montreal in 2013, he met Hugo Signori, director of the independent Label On The Stick Records, that’s when he released his first official track. He then decided to move back to his native country, France, in order to complete his training at the EMC institute of Paris. He learned Sound Engineering and released his first extended play Blurred Origins under the name Numantic. He had the chance to collaborate with Elise Mélinand, a singer who was discovered by the Voice France.

During his training at EMC, he scored for the short film Cuba Libre directed by Colin Bates and Felixe de Becker, who won several distinctions such as : Speechless Film Festival in Mankato, Minnesota, USA – March 16, 2017 – US Premiere ; New Media Film Festival in Los Angeles, USA – June 8, 2017 “Winner Best Mobile/Tablet” ; Calcutta International Cult Film Festival Calcutta – India – February 18, 2017 & December 5th, 2017 “New Media Award Winner” ; Transilvania Shorts – Targu Mures & Sibiu, Romania – March 16, 2017 – Premiere Europe and many more. He had the opportunity to collaborate with Fabrice Aboulker, the French composer known for his success with Mariages! starring Jean Dujardin. 2017 marks his work with the game company Xilabs, for whom he composed music and Sound Design while releasing his first electronic solo Extended Play The Others, produced under his real name Arnaud Hug.

Moved by his experience with Xilabs he decides to develop his skills in scoring and audio designing for Video Games at the ISTDS Inc of Montreal. There, he was lucky enough to learn how to conceptualise and integrate music and sound with the expertise of prestigious Audio Designers such as : Jeremy Gavoille (Vibe Avenue, Rogue Factor, Rayman Legends) , Karl Lamoureux (Ubisoft, Assassin’s Creed), Mathieu Lavoie (Behavior, Doodle Jump) , Francois Lafleur (Bioware & Electronic Arts, The Sims). At the end of this training, he scored the music for the video game Fusion in association with Objectif 3D, in Montpellier, which won the Excellence Reward for his audio quality by the Rookies.

In 2018, he composed music for Outloud Publishing, collaborating specifically with Reflector Entertainment and Four Seasons Hotel. Interested in advertising , he uses his free time to propose other music interpretations for perfume ads such as the Lacoste  Timeless Film or Louis Vuitton The Emprise Jewelry.

That aside, he also scores for countless short movies, proposed in festivals and international organisations such as Spasm Festival. Ludum and Martyr for example, directed by Cedric Provost, are part of these numerous collaborations.
In may 2019, he released his second solo Extended Play Violent Wave, a contemporary classical project which talks about climate change.

In 2020, he composed the music of the dance film “Images cachées” of the choreographer and director Chantal Caron and creates the music for a Canadian T.V commercial with the brand Opto-Réseau.

Today, Arnaud works with several publishers, agencies and music studios, such as Boogie Collective, Outloud Publishing, Music Rights Clearance, Airfix Music, Bam Music and Barnum Music and has had the opportunity to compose for countless world-renowned brands such as Nike, BMW, Netflix, Adidas and many more…
